Sienna Vibe – so far, a big thumbs up!
What I like: it’s lightweight, heats up FAST, easy to fill and drain, it stands up on its own, and most importantly, it steams the whole time. No pressing a trigger constantly, which for me is very important. It stops steaming when you click it into upright stance. The steam only comes out one port on the bottom, but it looks like a brass part so hopefully it shouldn’t corrode. The mop head is low profile and fits under most things. And the head swivels, which I like.
I use one mop pad for the wood floor, which includes a foyer, hall, bath, and kitchen. I fill it up twice for that, but it’s not a hassle. The cord could be longer, I have to move it once or twice, but that’s no different than the vacuum I use prior to mopping, so it’s not too annoying. I detach the handle and use the second mop pad for cabinet fronts, dishwasher and oven faces, and pantry door, which I LOVE, because food spills on the cabinets really bother me. It really shines up my black oven. I love that it dries fast and the cat can walk on the wet floor and not lick chemicals off his paws. The floor looks and feels clean when I’m done.
The mop pads have held on snugly with no problem. It’s not too hot to change pads when needed. I read some complaints with other mops that the wood floors didn’t feel hot after steaming; mine didn’t particularly either, but the laundry room linoleum definitely felt hot, so I think that’s just the difference in flooring material.
My only negatives about the Vibe is that unlike what I envisioned, it does not fit fully into corners. It may be triangle shape, but it is rounded, not pointed, and it doesn’t get fully into corners. The cord could be longer. I wish the cap to the water bin had a leash, as I like to leave the cap off and let it air dry and don’t want to lose the cap. But for $38 and getting to lose the mop and bucket, which I can’t even describe how much I loathed mopping, I’m thrilled with this Sienna Vibe. It’s actually fun now, and the cat was just mesmerized! I feel confident I’ll be mopping much more frequently with the Vibe, so I hope it lasts a respectable while.
Does a great job for the price.
My only negatives are 1) slightly wobbly handle, 2) relatively small water reservoir, and 3) somewhat limited cord length. But when you stop and realize this was $39, none of those matter compared with the great job it does.
Also, it cleaned so well, it took all shine off the flooring, and I now need to find a product to restore the luster, but the floors are so clean, you really could eat off them!
Terrific, don’t have to keep holding the button!
Love this steam mop!
I am an instant gratification kind of person. Since this little gem was in stock at my local hardware depot for quite a bit less than it was offered for here on Amazon, I figured I would give it a try. I’m glad I didn’t pay so much more for a fancy Shark. This Sienna heats up quick, produces lots of steam, does a good job, and it’s easy to refill. It’s also super lightweight, and super easy to take upstairs. My kids are even asking to help me mop! I haven’t used it as a handheld steamer yet, but I definitely love that I have that option.
My only complaint is that the water tank is very small and I have to refill quite often. The cord could have been a little longer as well. The handle isn’t really the sturdiest either, but you’re not supposed to be forcefully scrubbing with a steam mop anyway. None of these things are deal breakers for me, *especially* with how little I paid for it. I’m really happy with it and would buy it again and again!
Pads wash out well for reuse. Nice and lightweight.
My Husband Uses It!
We received the steam mop at evening. I have two infants, so I was too tired to even attempt to open the box that night. My husband works third shift, but when I woke in the morning, I came downstairs to a freshly cleaned and sparkling kitchen floor. My husband had put the steam mop together and used it while I was asleep, as soon as he walked through the door. That’s saying something.
My husband is a great guy, wonderful husband and father to our two little girls. But as far as his cleaning capabilities, he leaves his socks on the side of the bed every night. I trip over his boots lying in the middle of the floor. He leaves piles of clothes stacked in the corner of the bedroom and hairs in the sink when he trims his beard. I do all of the laundry, cooking and cleaning in the house.
Until this steam mop. He gushed about how easy it was to use and how well it cleaned the sticky residue off the floors. He’s used it three times in the three weeks that we’ve had it. I haven’t even needed to turn the thing on! I honestly don’t know how to use the steam mop because I’ve never attempted to use it. My husband, the man who leaves vomit stained onesies in the middle of the floor, has used this steam mop and loved the outcome every time.
Two thumbs up!
7 Months Later:
I have used the mop a few times at this point and it’s super easy to use. Pour water into the reservoir, plug in, wait a few seconds for it to start to steam, mop up the floor, un-plug, Done. For the sticky residue, simply pause over the spot for a few seconds for the steam to lift the spatter. Clean up for the mop is simply to remove the dirty padding and launder- takes seconds to remove padding. Super easy. No scrubbing, no messy water pails. Husband still uses it and now I do, too!
Just go ahead and buy it
Yes cord is shorter then I would like but nothing a small extension cord wouldn’t fix.
It’s great. Buy it.
Steam mop rocks!
Wonderful Steam Mop
The mop heats up in just a few seconds and dries just minutes after mopping. Our apartment has no carpeting so I cannot comment on the carpet attachment. Also we have a pretty small square footage so the length of the cord is not a problem but using an extension cord would be no hassle at all. Depending on how much dirt/build up you need to remove the water tank is not very big but does not deplete too fast either so more often than not I need to empty it out after mopping. The two micro fibre mop heads clean up nicely in the washing machine as well.
The only issue I have at the moment is removing the handle and using the mop as a hand held steamer, it seems as though the water in the tank will move away from the heating unit when the mop angles past 90 degrees to mop a cabinet face above the countertop. I have only tried to use the mop as a hand held unit once and will be trying it again, perhaps with more water in the tank. but all in all it is a non-issue and the product works wonderfully. Also shipping was prompt.
